update Oct 2014

Stan has several new holes in his head. He had a cyst removed in his left ear a few months ago. Now he can use his hearing aid in that ear. Before it made the cyst sore. So he's using his hearing aids a lot more. He complains about the locusts when we go out for a walk, and turns them off then.

More recently he had another skin cancer removed on his face close to his nose and mouth. And the next day he went to a more specialized surgeon to have a cancer removed from his right ear. They took out a dime-sized amount. Then she took skin from right behind the ear lobe to patch the first hole. The jury is still out on whether or not that skin graft will take. Right now it looks awful. But they say that is normal. He said his grandfather died of a skin cancer in his ear. So he was ready to get this taken care of. We've been teasing him that (if the skin graft doesn't take) he'll just have to get a really large earring.

Meanwhile I've had cataract surgery on my right eye. I can already see much better. I can even read street signs. I get the left eye done at the end of Oct. I'm looking forward to that. Right now I can make 2 different worlds, depending on which eye I have open. We're getting tired of putting drops in the eye. But we want it to work, so we do it. And we get to start this over again just about the time we're finished with the 1st one.

Really a test

I'm trying this out again. Not sure if it will work well. Looks like the things I copied earlier were cut off on the right.

I was sick the end of last week. Not sure what I had. Just felt really weird, dizzy, and light headed. Thought I was going to faint once. But it seems to be gone now.

Our strawberries are producing. Also the lettuce & spinach. The radishes are not making any radish part, just going to seed. Strange. But that happens sometimes.
